About Dr. Howard P. Manyonga

Dr. Howard Manyonga is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. With a career spanning over three decades, he has made significant contributions to women's health through development of innovative healthcare models in women's health. As the founder of Network One Health. 

Professional Journey and Achievements

Graduating as a medical doctor in Zimbabwe, Dr. Manyonga began his career blending clinical practice with academia, including a tenure as a Perinatal Research Fellow at the University of Cape Town after completing specialist training in the United Kingdom. In addition to his postgraduate specialist qualifications, he also holds an Executive MBA from the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business.

In 2016, Dr. Manyonga co-founded The Birthing Team, a pioneering initiative providing integrated, high-quality maternity care across multiple South African cities. This program delivered over 3,000 babies and achieved a 30% reduction in Cesarean section rates compared to the national average in the private sector. These impressive outcomes demonstrated the effectiveness of team-based care models in improving maternal and infant health while reducing unnecessary medical interventions, saving cients milions of rands.

Building on this success, Dr. Manyonga established Network One Health, a practice management company that works in the background with the clinical provider networks that provide the care.
