About Dr. Howard P. Manyonga

Dr Howard Manyonga is an obstetrician-gynecologist based in Johannesburg. With more than 30 years in medicine, he has built a career combining clinical practice, system design, and leadership in women’s health.
He trained in Zimbabwe, specialised in the United Kingdom, and served as a Perinatal Research Fellow at the University of Cape Town. He also holds an Executive MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business.
In 2016, he co-founded The Birthing Team, a multidisciplinary maternity programme that delivered more than 3 000 babies and reduced caesarean rates by 30 percent compared with private-sector averages. Building on that model, he founded Network One Health, which partners with hospitals and funders to run value-based, team-driven women’s health networks.
His expertise includes health-systems management, clinical governance, digital integration, and value contracting in women’s health. He serves on the Board of the Gynaecology Management Group and advises national panels on maternity contracting and reform.

We provide team-based maternity and women’s health services led by Dr H P Manyonga, MBChB (UZ), MRCOG (UK), MBA (UCT). Care is in Woodmead and Pretoria, combining medical, midwifery, and mental-wellness support. Registered with the HPCSA and SASOG, and partnered with Discovery Health under the maternity global-fee program.
