*An NT scan, or nuchal translucency scan, is an antenatal screening test typically performed between the 11th and 14th weeks of pregnancy. This non-invasive ultrasound scan measures the thickness of the fluid at the back of the baby’s neck (nuchal translucency). The results, when combined with maternal age and sometimes blood test results, can help assess the risk of Down syndrome and other chromosomal abnormalities in the foetus. It’s important to note that the NT scan is a screening, not a diagnostic, test, and further diagnostic tests may be recommended if the results indicate a higher risk.

Nuchal Translucency Ultrasound (NT USS) and the Down’s serum test are valuable add-ons. They provide important insights into the well-being of your pregnancy.
